I’m a Toledo based photographer, belly dancer, fire eater and dancer, artist, yogini, shibari-ka, geek, and marshmallow wrangler, who is, generally speaking, sunshine, butterflies, and crayons, covered in spikes and clad in black (though the more I belly dance, the more “black” shifts to “insanely bright colors and sometimes crazy patterns”). ^_^
This blog is mainly for my business J. Bak Studios, which focuses on photography, silk dyeing, and artisan crafts. I’ll post photos from photo shoots, experimentation with photography and silk dyeing techniques, etc.
It’s also for my professional belly dance endeavors (dance name “Calliope”), my journey in Kundalini Yoga, costuming (belly dance & cosplay), eco-awareness oriented stuff (products I’ve tried, interesting articles I find, etc.), reviews of local stores and restaurants, random personal posts, and marshmallow adventures (I have personified marshmallows; they have adventures; I write stories).
So, welcome to my world. I hope you enjoy your time here.
